Welcome back to Alpha Drop, your monthly deep dive into what’s happening behind the scenes at QF Network. This month we’ve hit some major technical milestones, prepped new tools for builders, and lined up exciting community events. Let’s get into it.
Development Metrics
180+ commits across active repositories
7+ repos under active development
15+ major pull requests shipped, covering architectural changes and new features
The pace is strong, and the foundations are getting sharper every week.
Smart Contract Platform Migration
One of the biggest upgrades this month: we’ve successfully migrated our smart contracts platform from pallet-qf-polkavm to pallet-revive.
Why this matters:
Future-proof execution with a modernized smart contract environment
Cleaner SDKs with an “export” macro that reduces boilerplate
Upgraded CLI tools for uploading and executing contracts under the new system
Pallet-assets integration brings token to the runtime
This lays the groundwork for a developer experience that feels smoother, faster, and closer to Web2, without the compromises.
dApp Development Tools
We’ve been experimenting with LLM-powered dApp templates. The first one, a Token Launcher template is live. It allows devs to spin up token minting apps with significantly less manual scaffolding. Early days, but it’s shaping up as a key building block in our vision of radically simplified dApp development.
Infrastructure & Platform
Portal Stability: Fixed critical reload bug and compilation issue for portal.qfnetwork.xyz.
Historical Data: RPC nodes now provide full historical blockchain data, a major improvement from the previous 30-second window.
These infra upgrades make the chain more reliable for both developers and validators.
Partnerships
We are working hard on closing a new, and very exciting, partnership! An AMA with this same new partner will come soon after that. It’s an opportunity to dive deeper into what both teams are building, answer your questions live, and share what’s next on the roadmap.
